Customers

Every customer, from first check to ongoing risk, in one module.

Onboard customers, score their risk, re-verify them on a schedule, and see how they connect, all from one record that carries their identity, screening, transactions, and cases.

Customer profiles

One record for every customer.

Create, search, and manage customers of every type. Each profile brings identity, accounts, KYC and screening, transactions, risk, and cases onto one record.

Open a customer and the Overview shows who they are, how to reach them, their KYC level and their current risk classification. Contact details are checked as you go, such as the format of a phone number against the customer's declared country.

The Accounts tab lists every account seen for the customer, whether it is their own account or one they transact with, and on how many transactions it has appeared and when it was last seen.

KYC & Screening lists each check run for the customer, from BVN, NIN, CAC and passport to PEP, sanctions and adverse media, with a Check Now button to run one on demand. It shows when the customer's configured KYC workflow next runs, and can find similar records.

Open a case, add the customer to a blacklist, review their hold history or export the profile as a PDF from the header. The Cases tab shows every case opened for the customer in one place.

Guided onboarding

Start a customer profile with every check done right from the dashboard.

Start an onboarding session, collect the details and a photo, verify identity through your own vendors, and have a reviewer approve before the customer is created.

  1. 01

    Start a session

Choose Individual, Corporate or Sole proprietorship. Corporate sessions add the company's related persons and a company registration check.

  2. 02

    Collect the details

Capture customer information and a customer photo, by webcam or upload, using the fields your administrators configure for each account type.

  3. 03

    Verify identity

Checks such as BVN, NIN, driver's licence, international passport, CAC, and TIN run through your preferred vendor connection, with field-by-field match results. A mismatch goes to review and can be corrected.

  4. 04

    Review and approve

A second person reviews the application, verification, screening, adverse media, and risk before the customer is created. Creators can never review their own session.

KYC workflows

Verification that keeps itself current.

Decide which KYC checks run when a customer is opened and again at every periodic review, so verification stays current without anyone remembering to ask.

Choose which KYC checks run for each customer type at onboarding and again at each risk level. Onboarding runs once at customer creation, so it has no review frequency, and every workflow shows its version.

For each risk level, choose how often the checks re-run and tick the KYC checks to include. Saving records the reason for the change and creates a new immutable version, so you can always see which checks were in force when.

Onboarding and scheduled reviews run against the configured workflows automatically, and the Runs tab records each one with its band, trigger, status, due and completed times, and how many checks completed or were skipped. Filter by band or status.

Customer risk scoring

Know each customer's risk, and why.

Classify every customer Low, Medium, or High from the factors your team defines, and keep the reasoning on record.

Each customer gets a score from 0 to 100 and a classification of Low, Medium or High, from the factors your team defines. When there is not enough data, the result is Unable to assess, never a guess of Low.

Sanctions, PEP, adverse media, transaction behaviour, geography, identity and KYC, and the customer profile are scored as weighted categories. A confirmed sanctions or PEP match can force a High classification, and every override needs a written rationale.

Each classification has its own review frequency, and a change to the profile, KYC, screening or transactions triggers a recalculation. The full history of assessments, classifications and overrides is kept.

Corporate business types

Rate the businesses you onboard.

Corporate and sole proprietor customers are classified by the kind of business they run, with a rating your institution controls.

01

An institution-managed list

Start from a set of suggested types, such as agriculture, construction, gambling, or money service business, or add your own, each with a code and a rating. Classify customers into them and update ratings in bulk. A type can be retired but never deleted, so the history behind every rating stays intact.

02

Required where it matters

A business type is required when a corporate customer is created from KYC and on every bulk import row. Individuals do not have one.

03

Feeds risk and reporting

Turn on the business type rating as a risk check, and use business types in portfolio reporting and peer groups. A type with no rating gives insufficient data, never a low score.

Network analysis

See who your customers are connected to.

Customers rarely act alone. Network analysis connects them through the people and accounts they share, and raises a network for review only when something in it needs attention.

Open a network and see exactly why it was flagged, such as a concentration of high-risk customers, open alerts, a sanctions hold, a pass-through pattern or a circular flow, along with the exposure and transactions across it. It is for information only: a network never changes a risk score or closes an alert.

See every member of the network with their type, risk level, open alerts, whether they are on hold, and the exact link that connects them. Place a hold on a member, open a case from the network, or dismiss it with a reason. A daily scan keeps networks current, and your team can scan on demand and export to CSV.

Portfolio risk

Your whole portfolio, and every change in it.

Step back from the single customer to see how risk is spread across the whole book and its transactions, how it is moving, and exactly why each classification changed.

Summary tiles show how many customers sit at each risk level right now, alongside counts for politically exposed persons and sanctioned customers, so you don't need to build this view yourself from individual records.

A classification trend shows how the balance between Low, Medium, and High risk customers has moved over time, and per-dimension breakdowns (by entity type, country, and business type) show where risk is actually concentrated.

Where Transaction Monitoring is part of your license, the Transactions tab shows how many transactions were cross-border, held or blocked, and flagged, as a share of all transactions. A channel table then splits each channel, such as mobile app, internet banking, USSD, or branch, by decision, so you can see where risky activity concentrates.

A separate classification-change report lists every time a customer's risk level moved, what drove the change, and whether it came from the automatic score or an override, exportable to CSV for your own records or a regulator.
